Highland Marketing, a healthcare communications specialist, has appointed Hetty Simmonds as account executive to support the business’ rapid extension.
Prior to joining Highland Marketing, Hetty has spent the last two years with a PR agency specialising in the financial technology sector. There she has gained some wide experience in running social media campaigns across networks such as Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook; building relationships with journalists and pitching stories to the media.
Hetty will undertake similar responsibilities at Highland Marketing, as well as supporting the team on various clients’ projects and general PR administration.
Commenting on her appointment Hetty said: “Working for Highland Marketing provides me with a great opportunity to use my PR and communications skills and apply them to the healthcare market. I relish being part of the Highland Marketing team as they are renowned in the industry for their unrivalled knowledge and understanding of the market”.
Mark Venables, CEO of Highland Marketing, said: “ The healthcare technology market is currently booming, driven in parts by the government’s initiatives around electronic healthcare to increase efficiencies and improve patient care. As technology companies seek to step up their marketing activities, Highland Marketing has seen an increase in business and has had to make a series of appointments to support the company’s expansion.
“Hetty is a welcome addition to our growing team and we are always looking to take on young motivated individuals who can bring a new perspective to the company”.
